we report a rare case of Clostridium paraputrificum bacteremia in an 82-year-old female patient who underwent necrotic small bowel resection due to intestinal obstruction and necrosis. Blood culture confirmed the infecting bacteria as C. paraputrificum, which was further verified by whole-genome sequencing.
